Life Under Examination is a collection of poetry that explores the gamut of interpersonal relationships, with a blend of lighthearted satire and earnest, emotional expression.

The poems in this collection were written primarily between 2001 and 2010. For the previous few years, I had mostly left my poetry alone, but in January 2013, I rediscovered these pieces. In the space of one weekend, I reworked and polished many of them, sanding any remaining rough edges. The final collection includes twenty-six poems.
